Art Week NYC itself is four days, Wednesday to Saturday. Around it sit the ADAA Fair, which overlaps its last three days and runs to Monday, and the evening sales, which begin the Monday after. Only times an organizer has published appear here. All times are Eastern.

Openings

Night by Night, When It Is Published

The organizers describe “three days of openings and activations” by neighborhood. A reasonable guess is that each evening belongs to one or two districts, so that visitors can attend every opening, but the assignments have not been announced, and this page will not guess. When they are, each night will be listed here with its galleries and hours, and the routes will be matched to them.

Gallery openings in New York are usually free and open to the public, typically early evening. Art Week NYC’s site invites visitors to sign up for “early access to tickets,” so some events may need a ticket or RSVP. Ticketing TBA

Five Talks at the New Museum

The New Museum and Artforum co-present Site Conditions: Five Talks on Art and the City in the New Museum Theater, 235 Bowery, from 11 am to 6 pm. Artists, architects, filmmakers, critics and writers will take on the design of new museums, why artists are moving into film, the economics of working in New York and machine intelligence in the studio. The museum says the full schedule and tickets will be released “in the coming weeks.” Access Pass Plus members and New Museum Fellows get complimentary tickets by emailing membership@newmuseum.org. Live CART captioning is provided; ASL interpretation is available on request with three weeks’ notice.
