The gallery program

The Galleries, as Announced

On August 4, 2026, Artforum published the gallery list for the first Art Week NYC. It is below, alphabetical as printed. ARTnews headlined it as 76 galleries; the published list, which runs the names together without separators, reads as 75 names when split, so one gallery may have been merged or dropped in the printing. By October 16 Artforum said “more than eighty” galleries would take part. The newer names have not been published. List pending

The list mixes the largest international galleries with emerging spaces and specialists in prints, modern American art and design. A few, such as Southern Guild (Cape Town and Los Angeles), Nara Roesler (São Paulo and New York) and Kiang Malingue (Hong Kong and New York), are best known outside the city. Which space each gallery will use, and on which night, has not been announced.

The 32 Institutions

The institutions and nonprofits will present exhibitions and special programming, with conversations, tours and events through the week, according to the announcement. Select museums are presented with Bloomberg Connects, the free museum-guide app. The New York City Council is a participant too; Speaker Julie Menin gave a statement for the announcement. Program details for each institution have not been published, so the right-hand column gives the location only. Each sets its own hours and admission.
