In the News
A fair week produces more copy than anyone can read. Sales reports arrive by noon on the first preview day, the party photographs by midnight, and the corrections sometime the following week. This page sorts the supply.
The three lists below refresh from the Biennale news feed when a browser can reach it, and otherwise show the editor’s picks as they stood on October 5, 2026. The first follows Art Basel across all its cities, the second follows Miami, and the third holds whatever is filed against the fair’s own record on My Biennale.

A caution on timing. Sales figures published during a fair are reported by the galleries that made them, and nobody audits them. Read the first-day totals as a mood, and wait for the auction houses’ numbers for anything firmer. The longer view is in the year in review.

The Trade Press, Curated
A dozen or so outlets cover the week closely enough to matter, and they do different jobs. Some file sales reports within hours. One prints the gossip. Two are local and know the city the other fifty-one weeks of the year. The table says which is which, with a feed address where one was found working.

Ten pieces that explain the week before it starts, in the order worth reading them.
- Art Basel’s own announcement, September 2026. The primary document: 272 exhibitors, sector counts, the James Turrell project, and the partners.
- The Art Newspaper on the smaller floor, September 29, 2026. The clearest account of what was cut: the main sector down from 226 galleries to 204.
- Artnet News, “Who’s In, Who’s Out?”, September 29, 2026. Names the arrivals and the departures, with Bridget Finn on the reasoning.
- Artnet News on the galleries that dropped out, December 7, 2025. Last year’s attrition, fee by fee. It reads as a preface to this year’s floor.
- The Art Newspaper on the half-year results, July 15, 2026. Why the auction houses arrive in Miami in a better mood than the galleries.
- Artnet News, “The End of the Mega Gallery”, July 16, 2026. Adam Lindemann’s opinion piece on the Pace cuts. Opinion, clearly marked, and useful for that.
- Monocle, “Are we collapsing or correcting?”, August 12, 2026. An essay on contraction and on what fairs have done to collectors and dealers.
- Artnet News on buyer’s fees, September 24, 2026. All four big houses raised premiums this year. The piece explains what that says about the lower end.
- Artsy on Anthony Spinello, November 28, 2025. A Miami dealer’s 20 years, for anyone who thinks the city’s art life lasts one week.
- Too Much Love on Fredric Snitzer, December 1, 2024. Plain advice to artists from a Miami dealer whose gallery dates to 1977.
Watch
Video Library
Five films, each checked against its host page. Two are floor walks from the 2025 fair by VernissageTV, the nearest thing on film to walking the hall. One is a network report on the underwater sculpture park off South Beach. Two are conversations. Press play and the film loads from YouTube; nothing loads until then.
The second film is the one to watch before December. It shows the first Zero 10, the fair’s section for digital-era art, where Beeple’s robot dogs drew the crowd in 2025. The sector returns this year as Generation; the fairs page has the detail, and the technology essay has the argument.

Press Rooms
Anyone publishing about the week needs pictures with permission attached. These are the official media pages, with the route to images where the page states one.
| Organization | Press page | How images are obtained |

On credit lines: use the caption and credit supplied with each image, word for word, and keep the photographer’s name. Art Basel’s press page asks that its images carry the credit Courtesy Art Basel unless the caption says otherwise, and limits them to editorial coverage of the current fairs; read the terms on the page before publishing. NADA, Design Miami, and the Rubell Museum had no working press page when checked, so requests there go through each organization’s general contact.

Feeds
Biennale publishes its news, fair, and exhibition data as open feeds in RSS and JSON. They need no key, they refresh every few minutes, and they may be reused with attribution and a link back. The full catalog is at My Biennale Feeds.

For dates instead of headlines, members can sync saved fairs and openings to a phone calendar from My Calendar, and keep the week’s tickets in Wallet.
Sources. Headlines, dates, and links on this page were compiled on October 4 and 5, 2026. Video titles were confirmed against YouTube or the host page; upload dates are given only where a page showed them. Social handles and press pages were read from each organization’s own site: Art Basel, Untitled Art, NADA, Design Miami, Art Miami, Pinta, PAMM, ICA Miami, The Bass, City of Miami Beach. ARTnews, Artforum, the Miami Herald, and Miami New Times blocked automated reading, so their items appear by headline only and their feeds are marked unconfirmed. Hashtags are listed as common usage, not as official tags. Biennale is independent and is not affiliated with Art Basel or any fair named here. Corrections: contact@biennale.nyc.

Who to Follow
During the week the fastest source is the hashtag stream: #ArtBasel, #MiamiArtWeek, and #ABMB are the tags in common use, though no organizer publishes an official one on the pages checked for this guide. The platforms do not permit hashtag feeds to be embedded on a page like this one, so the stream has to be opened in the app. What can be listed is the set of accounts that post first and post accurately.
Every handle below was read from the organization’s own website. Where a platform is missing, no account was listed there or the handle could not be confirmed. Personal accounts of dealers, curators, and critics are left out for the same reason: none was verified, and a wrong handle is worse than none. The people themselves are on the people page.

The Press
Press accounts were not verified handle by handle. The feeds in the table above are the dependable route: a feed reader shows every story in order, and no algorithm decides which ones surface. For the city’s own notices on road closures, shuttles, and beach conditions, the Miami Beach account is the one to watch; the host city page explains what it takes to stage the week.
